Sujata Bhosale and Stuti Baliyan both work in Tech at VodafoneZiggo, only in different domains. What unites them? "We translate the ambitions of the organisation into scalable, future-proof solutions." And they have more in common: they each actively contribute to diversity and culture within VodafoneZiggo.

As a Solution Architect, Sujata focuses on the security and compliance domain. She is responsible for OneTrust, the platform where risk, privacy assessments and audits are managed. "I take care of all the modifications, new designs and tests based on the wishes of the business. A new tool for the management of various kinds of risk, for instance. From digital threats and financial risks to operational risks such as a broken fibre-optic cable."

Stuti is Chapter Lead of a team of Solution Architects within the NaaS tribe. "Thanks to my background as a Solution Architect and experience in B2C, Tech4C(onsumer) and SoHo (Small office Home office), I've got everything it takes to realise VodafoneZiggo's vision. Simplification and automation, with an emphasis on talent, expertise and cooperation across teams. In a broader sense, I build the bridge between IT and Network. Together with other architects, I contribute to the high-level architecture for NaaS, the determining link of VodafoneZiggo's IT landscape."

Connection through culture and sport

Despite their different roles, Sujata and Stuti know each other well. Stuti: "As a board member of Intercultural Connected, one of the represented groups within VodafoneZiggo, I promote inclusivity and connection by organising cultural celebrations within the company. Such as the Iftar. On a slightly smaller scale, Sujata and I organise Holi and Diwali. Even then, we put on a great show with Indian food, Bollywood dancing and cultural games. Everyone comes in traditional clothes: white for Holi, so that the vibrant colours of the feast really stand out. And for Diwali everyone wears bright colours."

They soon got to know each other well and now often meet up. Outside of work, too. They take part on sports events together, for instance. "Sporting challenges are fun, but attempting them with a colleague makes them really meaningful," says Stuti. And that rubbed off on Stuti: "For more than a year now, I've taken 10,000 steps every single day."

Empowered by trust

Sujata's eyes shine when she talks about her start at VodafoneZiggo. "I became responsible for OneTrust, an important application within a domain that was new to me. I was given so much confidence and opportunities   to learn and prove myself, and that really meant a lot to me." Something else very special about that time: Sujata had lived in the Netherlands for a while, but her visa was about to expire. "I didn't know what to do or where to turn, and then VodafoneZiggo m   ade it possible for me to get a residence permit. That was such a relief and a wonderful gift." Stuti was given the opportunity to introduce and present VodafoneZiggo's very first AI platform integration to top management, the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). "That made a big impression on me," she says. "It really boosted my confidence and creativity."

Growth and appreciation

Both women take full advantage of the development opportunities that VodafoneZiggo has to offer. Stuti did various certifications and leadership courses, making her new role as Lead a logical next step. "It was great to be able to grow like that." Sujata is developing herself step by step, too. "The courses enabled me to quickly grasp this field of expertise, which had been completely new to me. Now, I'm the go-to person for anyone with any questions about OneTrust. That feels like true appreciation."

Connection, confidence, growth and appreciation. For both women, those are the top reasons why they feel so at home at VodafoneZiggo. Sujata: "I came to a new country, a new culture and a new job. That was quite an adventure, I can tell you! But VodafoneZiggo felt like a safe place. And it still does." Stuti nods in agreement. "This is the longest I've been with the same employer. That's because I can truly be myself here, and grow."
