Your job

As a Senior Data Engineer at VodafoneZiggo, you build scalable data platforms within Data & AI in the Technology domain. You develop data pipelines that make large volumes of data reliable and fast to use for analysts, Data Scientists and product teams. With Python, PySpark and SQL, you prepare data for insights and AI solutions. You set the technical direction for our lakehouse and improve performance, cost and reliability. You also create strong controls, clear data lineage and smart monitoring. You support colleagues through code reviews and share your data engineering knowledge. What you bring

You see how separate data sources can become one powerful whole. You enjoy keeping track of complex data flows and solving technical challenges in a practical way. You explain choices clearly to technical and business colleagues and enjoy helping others grow.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a similar field
At least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or data-heavy backend development
Strong Python skills for clean, testable production code
Experience building and improving large-scale data pipelines with PySpark or Apache Spark
Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modelling for operational and analytical data
Daily experience with Airflow, including designing and managing workflows
Production experience with Apache Iceberg, including partitioning, schema evolution and table versioning
Experience with Docker, Git and continuous integration and deployment
