As a Big Data Engineer at VodafoneZiggo, you help build scalable data products and AI-powered solutions used across the organisation. Depending on your background and ambition, you work on GenAI applications, cloud data platforms, real-time streaming, or large-scale data processing on AWS.
You work closely with AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Owners, platform engineers and business stakeholders to bring data and AI solutions from idea to reliable production use.
What you do
Depending on your experience and team placement, you:
- design, build and operate data and AI solutions on AWS;
- develop production-grade data pipelines and backend services;
- help productionise LLM-powered applications and customer/agent assist solutions;
- build APIs and cloud infrastructure for data and AI products;
- work with RAG, vector search, prompt orchestration and AI evaluation patterns;
- contribute to reliable batch, streaming or AI application platforms;
- improve observability, monitoring, security and access management;
- troubleshoot production issues and improve operational stability;
- apply engineering best practices such as testing, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, code reviews and automation;
- contribute to reusable standards and patterns within the Big Data Engineering chapter.
What you bring
