As TribeLead IT4Consumer you have a critical role in product innovation and service delivery towards our customers and advises our business partners on IT solutions. The Tribe Lead is seen as a trusted strategic advisor and partner to the business and custodian of the full IT landscape of their specific business area.

The Tribe Lead oversees the full B2C/B2B/Enterprise IT Landscape from a resilience, stability security, perspective and is also responsible for the delivery in a large portion of the IT Landscape. The Tribe Lead coaches and influences their business partners in taking the best decisions on our application landscape and integration and is a valued partner and key influencer in the MTs of the Business areas they support. The Tribe Lead has a key role in simplifying and automating the IT Landscape in partnership with the other Tribe leads and Architecture. You own end responsibility for product Configuration (~35 fte).

This is what you do
As a trusted strategic advisor and partner to the business and custodian of the full IT landscape of their specific business area the Tribe Lead has overall end to end accountability for the value and business objectives of the Tribe. The Tribe Lead is supported, amongst others, by a group of Product Owners and Chapter Leads and is accountable for the delivery of the agreed solutions and for aligning with all relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, the Tribe Lead sets priorities within the Tribe in alignment with business priorities, and, together with the Chapter Lead, ensures optimal staffing within an agreed upon budget. The Tribe lead supports, designs and embeds new delivery models, optimizes, and expands the Agile Way of Working, and supports the development and technology acumen of the Product Owners within the Tribe. The Tribe Lead works closely with Architecture and the business to set the vision (IT Landscape, Architecture, Compliancy) and the way forward, keeps track of the progress and adjusts when needed in cooperation with their stakeholders.

Your key accountabilities and decision ownership are:

  • Understanding and jointly defining, together with B2C/B2B/Enterprise, the required capabilities to deliver against our customer value propositions. Translating this into a vision, objectives, strategy and a roadmap for the Tribe. Influence and guide Senior Leadership. 
  • Engaging with B2C/B2B/Enterprise SMT & guide & shape & challenge B2C/B2B/Enterprise vision & decisions related to B2C/B2B/Enterprise IT landscape custodianship (i.e. Life Cycle Management, security, stability, resilience).
  • Drives value creation in the Tribe, harmonize the activities of the squads. Ultimate responsible for the goals of the Tribe. Effectively mobilizes capabilities across IT to deliver results.
  • Ensure progress on the Tribe objectives. Aligning, prioritizing, adjusting the roadmap, scope and the budget with the (cluster of) squads and all relevant stakeholders and adjusting the requirements and priority as needed after each sprint or iteration. Manages interdependencies and eliminates blocking issues.
  • Promote Agile culture. Inspire and empower Squads to deliver against the Tribe’s priorities and KPI’s.
  • Responsible for managing the B2C/B2B/Enterprise related applications from a change perspective.
  • Accountable for Tribe capability development with the Chapter leads.
  • Financial oversight accountability for Opex and Capex spend for your area of responsibility.

Team Up
As TribeLead IT4Consumer, you will be part of the IT4Consumer Management Team and you will have a seat in the IT Management Team of VodafoneZiggo. You will be teaming up with your IT4Consumer team (approx. 100 people) and work closely with other Business (B2C) Tribes, (3) IT Tribes (IT4IT, IT4Business & IT4Enterprise) and our IT CoE’s (Enterprise Architecture, Security & Operational Excellence and Strategy & Transformation). You will report into Candice Dillon, Director IT and member of the Technology Senior Management Team at VodafoneZiggo.

The role is based in either or Amsterdam office (Kabelweg) or Maastricht office.  

Got what it takes

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience within Telecommunication IT environment or experience in commodity markets like telecom, energy, insurance, or banking.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management in complex environments and/or transformations.
  • Experience in a scaled agile environment.
  • Experienced People & Competence Manager with strong interpersonal skills. Motivates people to innovate and advocates change to challenge the status quo.
  • Has a broad understanding of current and future technologies and what is required to leverage these to achieve outcomes in our business. Develops new concepts. Demonstrated experience evaluating technologies and implementing strategies yielding tangible value.
  • Acts and is valued as a trusted strategic advisor and partner to the business. Can influence and guide on strategic IT decisions, IT vision and strategy, at peer level as well as SMT level.
  • Proven ability to define a set of requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them.
  • Decision maker, with a sharp focus in giving direction, mandate and courage to make decisions in the interest of IT4x.
