From May 2018 VodafoneZiggo has to comply with all the legal requirements from the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). VodafoneZiggo needs to be able to show full accountability and transparency towards supervisory authorities, employees and customers.  
 
The GDPR for HR program realizes full compliancy for the HR department including defined policies and procedures, cleaned data archives and consequential roles & responsibilities. Currently the program is moving towards a new phase.  VodafoneZiggo is looking for a HR Privacy Specialist to guide in the transition from GDPR program activities towards business as usual. 
 
General Purpose of the assignment: The HR Privacy Specialist oversees all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation and embedding of the GDPR for HR assigned activities. Is able to translate the ambitions of Data Privacy Office, Security and Data Ownership into the way of working within HR and Recruitment.  
 
Activities of this job are: Act as the HR Privacy expert: 
 
1. Privacy policies and execution 
  • Safeguard that policies are executed, and HR policies meet the company policies
  • Acting as the SPOC for all HR associates and departments of VodafoneZiggo
  • Advice pro-actively on the usage of data for analytics in perspective of GDPR   
  • Create new processes with the HR business, to meet the company privacy policies, statements and procedures
  • Assist in the correct execution of the individual rights - Assist the HR Business for the policy and execution of Privacy Impact Assessment
  • Liaison with Privacy Office and Legal department about complex situations
  • Work with DPO in case of a data breach or GDPR inconsistencies
  • Executing regular checks if retention policies are executed 
2. Privacy awareness and knowledge 
  • Create continuous awareness about the role of HR and data privacy specifically within HR in cooperation with PR&C.
  • Train/ raise awareness for new hires within HR
  • Organize a yearly awareness session for all HR employees
  • Keep HR associates informed and train if necessary when legislation changes
  • Participate in the companywide Privacy Champion group 
3. Documentation and communication   
Responsible for all HR – GDPR related documentation 
If communication is needed in terms of privacy related subjects within the HR department initiate the need and develop materials together with Communication  
 
4. Collaboration 
Collaborate with the HR Director People Experiences and other stakeholders within HR, Privacy, Risk and Control, Legal, IT, Reporting & Analytics 
 
Follow-up of the work that has been executed within the GDPR Program in defining, implementing and embedding HR Privacy policies, roles and responsibilities within HR: 
  • Create a “business as usual” process: that processes are maintained in the future
  • Understanding that Privacy, Security and Data Ownership cross-over VodafoneZiggo is also in a design phase. The impact for HR need to be assessed 
  • Stakeholder management is crucial
  • Define the role of HR Privacy Specialist
  • Collaborate with the HR Director People Experiences and other stakeholders within HR, Privacy, Risk and Control, Legal, IT, Reporting & Analytics 
Key competencies:
  • Expert in GDPR, Compliancy and (HR-related) regulation
  • Knowledge and experience with HR Processes and HR applications  Experience in managing projects as project manager
  • Ability to master quickly complex topics while maintaining a helicopter view and be able to translate this to stakeholders.
  • Able to work closely with a complex field of stakeholders, ranging from junior to senior management and from expert to end-users
  • Ability to align HR Stakeholders, Data Privacy Office and Legal
