This is how you do it
The Chapter Lead is an engineering-savvy people manager who is responsible for supporting the performance and development of the Squad members belonging to the Chapter. You champion excellence! You coordinate knowledge sharing and improved interactions between roles within the Chapter and across Tribes. You are responsible for all staffing within the tribe (both external and internal) and driving/supporting the development of all skills of your chapter members. You have a line management responsibility. You help stimulate innovation.
As a Chapter lead you also stimulate sharing best practices amongst chapter members. You make sure the Squads get the skills and seniority needed in the Squads to reach their purpose and you align with the Tribe Lead, Scrummasters and RTE about that. You will source the professionals of the Tribe, assuring high quality, leading in the industry by training and recruitment together with HR.
The Digital Engineering tribe is a cluster of platform teams that help and enable the software development teams in VodafoneZiggo. Our purpose is ‘Make IT easy’ and by doing so enable other teams to get better, faster, cheaper and happier.
