This is what you do for our customer
As our newest Brand Engagement Specialist at VodafoneZiggo you will focus on the Vodafone brand. You will develop activations and pieces of branded content which are aimed at increasing brand favorability and brand preference, always keeping our commercial goals in mind.

Within the total brand and Marcom department we use different brand assets and communicational strategies to prove our Vodafone promise of ‘the Future is exciting. Ready?’.

Your role is to contribute to the development and execution of our brand engagement strategy: ‘how do we use our sponsored platforms and brand engagement assets to bring our new positioning to live?’

This is how you do it:

  • To reach our brand and business objectives you have clear and compelling ideas to create brand activations and leverage sponsor & PR assets.
  • You monitor our daily calendar activities and contribute to the launch of planned and spontaneous activities.
  • Together with our colleagues from the commercial comms team you are responsible for different brand activations that all show how (future) technologies and connectivity can improve people’s lives.
  • You create what journalists want to write about and know what to add to a project in order to raise PR.
  • You are a great project manager and know how to keep your different agencies and stakeholders happy.
  • You eat tights schedules for breakfast and deadlines for dinner and don’t mind working flexible hours when the project asks for it.

You strengthen
VodafoneZiggo’s brand engagement team consists out of 9 people who are responsible for all Vodafone and Ziggo brand engaging assets and activations to fast-track brand equity and business results. Big and visible partnerships like the ZiggoDome or the sponsorship of AFC Ajax (Ziggo) and The voice of Holland (Vodafone) for example, but also branded content strategies that in another way bring to life both brand purposes. Though we communicate from two different brands, we operate as one team and celebrate any success together.

You’ve got what it takes

  • Tons of experience in the advertising industry and the ability to recognize original creativity from a far distance.
  • Know your way around in the Dutch media landscape and know how to build 360-campaigns with the use of different media houses.
  • Know how to produce, distribute and monitor video content; no matter the format, no matter the medium, no matter the budget.
  • Were big on social before Mark Zuckerberg was and have an eye for what (social) medium will be the next best thing.
  • Invented the high five, know how to celebrate successes with the team and have a winning mentality that Ajax would be jealous of.

Ticked all the boxes? Our perfect candidate also has: 

  • an Academic/Master’s degree in marketing communication and/or media studies
  • affinity with business/marketing (analytical) and brand strategy (conceptual, creative); affinity and/or experience with (digital) content publishing
  • large experience (min 4 years) in brand engagement/activations
  • experience within brand engagement area at blue chip engagement companies (Heineken, Ahold, agencies, sponsors, etc.)
  • A perfect understanding of the Dutch and English language (fluent in speaking and writing) is a must.
