As Strategy Manager, you will be challenged to tackle mid to long-term strategic topics, in essence ensuring the company remains competitive and future proof. A broad and dynamic playground where movements of competitors, new technological developments and shifting customer expectations directly influence daily activities. 5G, eSim, Docsis 4.0, fiber roll-out, smarthomes, OTT are mere examples of such topics.
This is what you do
This role provides you the opportunity to work on key strategic topics for our CEO, CFO and the rest of our Executive Leadership Team.
The Strategy Manager brings structure and clarity to the most complex issues that the company is facing. He or She is able to conduct thorough analysis and translate findings into a comprehensible and fact based storyline that convincingly enables decision making. In each project, the Strategy Manager immerses him- or herself into the content to fully understand the topic at hand. He or she owns the topic and leads the project, also when such project is quickly scaling up.
Examples of recent projects include for instance determining our mobile spectrum auction strategy, encompassing also securing the necessary budget with shareholders, organizing our participation to the auction and executing it according to plan. A yearly recurring activity is coordinating the making of the LRP, our Long Range Plan for the next 3 to 5 years, by collaborating intensively with Finance and many other teams across the business, to eventually deliver a plan that strikes the right balance between ambition and realism. Together with the rest of the Strategy team, the Strategy Manager is also identifying, prioritizing and assessing opportunities and / or threats on our Strategic Radar. This leads to further strategic deep-dives on prioritized topics. Finally, the Strategy Manager also works from time to time very closely with our Corporate Development team on M&A opportunities that can strengthen our business.
As Strategy Manager you will be part of the Corporate Strategy Team within the Strategy Insights & Integration (SI&I) department. It is a proven landing spot for former Strategy Consultants, offering a dynamic, fast paced, challenging and exciting international environment. The Strategy team consists of a senior Strategy Analyst, 3 Strategy managers, 3 Senior Strategy Managers (a.o. former strategy consultants). A team of highly motivated professionals that want to move things to the next level. You will be reporting into the Director Corporate Strategy.
